GN6958 is a novel inhibitor of the protease activity of proteinases, including those that are involved in tumor cell growth and cancer progression. It has potent inhibition against prostate cancer cells and other tumor cells, which may be due to its ability to activate the molecule and inhibit cellular function. This drug also inhibits the activity of several enzymes involved in carcinogenesis, such as cyclooxygenases, lipases, and proteases. GN6958 has been shown to reduce tumor size and improve prognosis in mice with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.
