Lp-PLA2-IN-1 is a small molecule inhibitor, which is derived from chemical synthesis, designed to specifically inhibit the activity of lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2). This enzyme is involved in the hydrolysis of oxidized phospholipids on low-density lipoproteins (LDL), leading to the production of pro-inflammatory mediators.
