    <p>HG-9-91-01 is a potent inhibitor of the fatty acid binding protein (FABP) and has been shown to be active in animal models of colitis. HG-9-91-01 inhibits the inflammatory response by preventing FABP from binding to its receptor on macrophages, thereby inhibiting the production of proinflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα).
