Icopezil maleate

Icopezil maleate is a peptide that has been used as a research tool for studying ion channels and cell biology. It is an activator of antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity, which is the ability of antibodies to activate natural killer cells to kill cancer cells. Icopezil maleate also binds with high affinity to the Ligand-binding domain of receptors or ligands, such as adrenergic alpha 2A receptors and dopamine D2 receptors. This drug has been shown to inhibit the protein interactions of amyloid beta precursor protein (APP) and beta-amyloid peptides in vitro.
