Tazemetostat hydrobromide is a potent and selective inhibitor of histone methyltransferase. This drug binds to the active site of the enzyme, preventing it from transferring methyl groups. Tazemetostat hydrobromide prevents the activation of cancer-related genes, which has been demonstrated in vitro using various cancer cell lines. Furthermore, this drug acts as an inhibitor of viral replication by inhibiting the production of new viruses.
