2-(3-Chloro-propenyl)-1,4-difluoro-benzene is a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor antagonist. It inhibits the acetylcholine receptor by occupying its binding site. This in turn reduces the activity of the acetylcholine receptor, which is important for many neurological and psychiatric disorders. It also modulates the activity of other receptors such as nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. 2-(3-Chloro-propenyl)-1,4-difluoro-benzene can be used to treat psychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and schizophrenia.
