CAS :Glycerophosphoric acid disodium salt hydrate is a water-soluble compound that is used in chitosan hydrogel formulations for a variety of applications including drug delivery, tissue engineering and wound treatment. Glycerophosphoric acid disodium salt hydrate can also be used as a phosphate source for cell growth and recombinant protein production, it offers advantages over conventional basal salt media due to its reduced propensity to precipitate out at higher pH. Glycerophosphoric acid disodium salt hydrate has also found use in micro-arc oxidation electrolyte solutions to create photocatalytic coatings. Glycerophosphoric acid disodium salt hydrate is also used as a reversible serine/threonine phosphatase inhibitor in kinase reaction buffers to prevent degradation of protein extracts prior to analysis.
