It has been shown to desensitize the dopamine D2 receptor and reduce locomotor activity in animal models. PF 06256142 has also been shown to be effective in clinical studies for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. In vitro assays have demonstrated that PF 06256142 is a potent dopamine D2 receptor allosteric modulator with a binding affinity (Ki) of 0.4 nM and an intrinsic efficacy of about 300%.
