CAS :Cy7.5 SE(mono SO3) is a fluorescent dye that is used in microscopy and fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS). It can be activated by the addition of an amine or amido group, which changes its excitation and emission wavelengths. Cy7.5 SE(mono SO3) can be used as a fluorescence probe to detect cancer cells, as well as to identify neuronal connexons. This dye has also been shown to increase fluorescence intensity when it binds to thiol groups on proteins, such as those found in cysteine residues on the N-terminus of alpha-tubulin, enabling it to be used for protein translation studies.
