Rineterkib hydrochloride is a peptide that can be used as a research tool to study the activation of ion channels and protein interactions. The peptide is an inhibitor of the delayed rectifier potassium channel, which is important for the regulation of cardiac contractility. Rineterkib hydrochloride binds to the receptor site on the channel and prevents it from opening. Rineterkib hydrochloride also blocks ligand-gated ion channels in nerve cells and muscle cells, inhibiting neurotransmitter release or muscle contraction. This drug is also known to block platelet aggregation by inhibiting thromboxane synthesis.
