CAS :Produit contrôléApplications One of the alkyl ethers with tert-Bu groups in their molecules which showed very poor biodegradability, tert-Bu Me ether (MTBE) [1634-04-4] had no effect on the biodegradability of gasoline blended with it. Studies on the biodegradation of several alkyl ethers were carried out by measuring the O uptake rate in the presence of standard activated sludge as a source of microorganisms.
Not a dangerous good if item is equal to or less than 1g/ml and there is less than 100g/ml in the package

CAS :Isobutene is a hydrocarbon with the formula C4H8. It is a colorless liquid with a boiling point of 33.5 °C and a density of 0.79 g/cm3 at 25 °C. Isobutene is produced by the hydrolysis of 2-butanol and can be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other organic compounds. The reaction vessel used for this experiment was not inert due to its surface reactions, leading to an increase in the rate of reaction. This experiment was conducted under standard conditions at room temperature, producing hydrogen chloride and sodium formate as reaction products. The chemical structures for these two substances are shown below:
