The amylin fragment Ac-ATQRLANFLVHSSNNFGAILSSTNVGSNTY-NH₂ completely reversed the inhibitory effects of IAPP on ¹⁴C-glycogen accumulation in vitro. It proved to be a most effective amylin antagonist with limited ability to block inhibition by CGRP.
