2'-Deoxy-5'-O-DMT-N2-isobutyrylguanosine 3'-H phosphonate triethylammonium salt is a novel nucleoside analog. It has been shown to be cytotoxic to cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. 2'-Deoxy-5'-O-DMT-N2-isobutyrylguanosine 3'-H phosphonate triethylammonium salt inhibits viral replication, including herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1) and human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV1), by inhibiting DNA synthesis.
