IDO-IN-12 is a potent, competitive inhibitor of the enzyme indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO). IDO is an important mediator of immunosuppression in various cell types. The inhibition of IDO by IDO-IN-12 results in increased production and release of inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin 1β and tumor necrosis factor α. The peptide has been shown to be highly soluble and stable with a purity greater than 95%.
