CAS :Produit contrôlé
Melilotigenin C is a natural product derived from the plant species Melilotus messanensis. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis by inhibiting the synthesis of mycolic acids, which are essential for bacterial cell wall biosynthesis. Melilotigenin C also has antibacterial and antimycobacterial activity. It was identified as a potent inhibitor of pancreatic lipase and cycloeucalenol synthase, two enzymes involved in lipid metabolism. Melilotigenin C was found to be an excellent marker for distinguishing between Erythrina and Melilotus species. Analysis of melilotigenin C's chemical structure enabled chemists to synthesize analogues that have been shown to have similar effects on bacterial growth. This compound is a useful analytical tool for identifying erythraedin and other related compounds in plants such as Erythrina or Melilotus species.
Degré de pureté :Min. 95%
