Antioxydant 1076, également connu sous son nom chimique 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-méthylphénol (DBMP), est un antioxydant synthétique couramment utilisé dans diverses applications industrielles pour prévenir la dégradation oxydative des matériaux. Il se caractérise par sa capacité à piéger les radicaux libres, protégeant ainsi les polymères, les lubrifiants et d'autres matériaux organiques des dommages oxydatifs. A study shows that Octadecyl 3-(3,5-Di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate can protect the oxidation of soybean phosphatidylcholine liposomes in water dispersion, but cannot protect the oxidation of dimyristoyl phosphatidylcholine liposomes.

It is soluble in methanol and reacts with sodium carbonate to form octadecyl 3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzoyl)propanoate. This product has been shown to have a high chemical stability and to inhibit the oxidation of glycol esters. Octadecyl 3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate has also been shown to exhibit antioxidative properties in the presence of polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
