MBM 17 is a molecule that inhibits the growth of cancer cells. It binds to the kinase domain of β-catenin, inhibiting its activity and preventing the phosphorylation of other proteins. MBM 17 also inhibits the production of epidermal growth factor, which is involved in cellular proliferation and migration. MBM 17 has been shown to be effective against tumor xenografts and has been shown to reduce tumor size in mice with lung cancer. MBM 17 may be useful as an anti-cancer treatment for patients with solid tumors or hematological malignancies.
