CAS :
5-Methoxy-1H-indole-2-carbaldehyde is an unsymmetrical bioreductive aldimine that can be reduced by one electron to the corresponding 5-methoxy-1H-indole. This compound has been shown to have cytotoxic activity against human tumour cells in vitro and in vivo, but it is not active against healthy cells. The mechanism of action of 5-methoxy-1H-indole-2-carbaldehyde is thought to be due to its ability to generate reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species (RNS). 5-Methoxy-1H-indole-2-carbaldehyde has also been shown to inhibit the enzyme dt diaphorase and thus disrupt cell respiration.
Formule :C10H9NO2Degré de pureté :Min. 95%Masse moléculaire :175.18 g/mol
