Hydroxy levopromazine is an analog of the antipsychotic drug levopromazine that has been found to have potential anticancer properties. It has been shown to induce apoptosis in human cancer cells and inhibit the activity of kinases, which are enzymes involved in cell signaling pathways that contribute to tumor growth. Hydroxy levopromazine has also been found to be a potent inhibitor of ceftiofur protein, which is involved in bacterial resistance to antibiotics.
