The KEAP1 protein binds to Nrf2 and suppresses its activity. The KEAPINRF2IN1 peptide mimics the interaction of Nrf2 with KEAP1 and can inhibit the activity of both proteins. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of the proteasome in cell culture lysates.
