Aliudanexin

Aliudanexin is a peptide that binds to the extracellular domain of the human receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE) with high affinity and selectivity. Aliudanexin inhibits the activity of RAGE, which is implicated in inflammation, cell death, and insulin resistance. Aliudanexin blocks the interaction of RAGE with its ligands, including AGEs and S100 proteins. This inhibition prevents RAGE-mediated activation of ion channels and downstream signaling pathways. Thus, aliudanexin may be a novel therapeutic agent for diseases associated with AGEs.
