RIPK1-IN-7 is an apoptosis inducer that acts as a histone deacetylase inhibitor. It induces cell death by binding to the mitochondrial membrane, which leads to the release of cytochrome c and other pro-apoptotic factors. RIPK1-IN-7 has been shown to be effective in low doses in vitro, but not in vivo, with necroptosis being a possible mechanism for its lack of activity.
