ICAM-1-IN-1 is a peptide that is used as a research tool in cell biology, pharmacology, and life sciences. It is an inhibitor of ICAM-1, which is a receptor for the integrin LFA-1. ICAM-1-IN-1 inhibits the binding of LFA-1 to ICAM-1 and therefore prevents the activation of adhesion molecules on cells. The inhibition of ICAM-1 has been shown to inhibit ion channels and regulate calcium fluxes in cells.
