Tridecafluorooctylphosphonic acid (TFPPA) is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the polyvalent antigen, s. aureus strains; it has been shown to have growth factor activity and to inhibit autoimmune diseases. TFPPA is also known as an inhibitor of HIV-1 replication in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells. The monoclonal antibodies are used for diagnostic purposes and can be used to detect specific antigens in the presence of other substances, such as proteins or nucleic acids. TFPPA is also used as a tool for studying cellular physiology and antitumor response in t-cell lymphomas.
