3'-Deoxy-3'-fluoroxylocytidine is a synthetic phosphate derivative of cytidine. It is an activator for phosphoramidites, deoxyribonucleosides and ribonucleosides. 3'-Deoxy-3'-fluoroxylocytidine is an anticancer agent that has been shown to have activity against various cancer cell lines, including prostate cancer cells. This compound has also been shown to have antiviral activity against herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) and influenza A virus in the laboratory.
