CAS :3-Aminophenylsulphur pentafluoride is a synthetic chemical compound. It is a ligand with an electron-withdrawing group and has been shown to be a strong oxidizing agent. 3-Aminophenylsulphur pentafluoride reacts with phosphine oxides, yielding phosphines. This reaction can be used for the synthesis of heterocycles that contain phosphorus in their ring system. 3-Aminophenylsulphur pentafluoride also reacts with alkyl halides to produce heterocycles containing sulphur, such as pyridines or thiophenes.
