    <p>Kras inhibitor-9 is a research tool that is used in cell biology, pharmacology and ion channels. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of KrasG12D and other GTPase proteins. Kras inhibitor-9 binds to the peptide sequence DQPYFQN near the N terminus of KrasG12D, blocking its interaction with other proteins. This binding prevents KrasG12D from activating downstream signaling pathways, including MAPK/ERK kinases and Akt kinases. Kras inhibitor-9 may be able to inhibit tumor growth by blocking activation of oncogenes such as Kras and p53.</p>
