CAS :
2-Ethynyl-3-methylpyridine is a compound that can be used in the synthesis of other compounds. It is a pyridyl analog with an ethynyl group at the 2 position and a methyl group at the 3 position.
2-Ethynyl-3-methylpyridine inhibits cox enzymes, which are responsible for the production of prostaglandins. This inhibition increases the production of anti-inflammatory prostacyclin, but decreases the production of proinflammatory prostaglandins such as thromboxane A2 and leukotriene B4. 2-Ethynyl-3-methylpyridine has been shown to inhibit both Cox 1 and Cox 2 isozymes, which may make it more potent than aspirin.
Formule :C8H7NDegré de pureté :Min. 95%Masse moléculaire :117.15 g/mol
