CAS :Covid-19 is a synthetic nonheme compound that possesses a hydroxyl group and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. It is also an inhibitor of bone resorption and has been used to treat autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. Covid-19 binds to plasma proteins, which prevents it from accumulating in the body. This activity may be due to its structural similarity with docetaxel, which has been shown to bind to the same type of protein. Covid-19 is absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract, but is not well distributed in tissues due to its high molecular weight. Due to this property, Covid-19 has been used as a fluorescent probe for studying the fluidity of lipids in heart tissue and rat cardiomyocytes. Covid-19 fluorescence intensity increases when lipid fluidity decreases due to inflammation or oxidative stress, making it an excellent tool for monitoring disease progression or therapeutic response in these tissues.
