3-(Morpholine-4-sulfonyl)benzohydrazide is an inhibitor of the enzyme histone demethylase. This drug inhibits the binding and activation of the enzyme, which in turn prevents the removal of a methyl group from lysine residues on the histone tail. The inhibition of this process is associated with increased gene expression, which may be useful for cancer treatment. 3-(Morpholine-4-sulfonyl)benzohydrazide has shown to inhibit human cancer cells in vitro.
