1,2-Dihexanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine is an active substance that has been shown to bind to the cyclic lipopeptide of human rhinovirus. It has been shown to have a protonation dependence on pH and a binding affinity for the acyl chain. 1,2-Dihexanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine was found to be the most effective phospholipid in inhibiting the production of ATP by human cells. This may be due to its ability to inhibit fatty acid synthesis.
