CAS :Flunixin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that belongs to the class of meglumines. It has been shown to inhibit ovulation in rats and reduce locomotor activity in mice. Flunixin also blocks the production of chemoattractant protein, which is involved in the recruitment of T-cells and macrophages to sites of inflammation. Flunixin also has been shown to have an effect on PGE2 levels and etoac extract, which are inflammatory mediators that are produced by macrophages. Flunixin is used as an analgesic for animals and can be used as a treatment for infectious diseases such as bovine respiratory disease (BRD) or hog cholera.
