2-[(1S)-1-Hydroxyethyl]-1,4-dihydroquinazolin-4-one
CAS :
2-[(1S)-1-Hydroxyethyl]-1,4-dihydroquinazolin-4-one is a quinazoline type compound that has been found to be an inhibitor of the type II fatty acid synthase (FAS II). The FAS II enzyme catalyzes the production of fatty acids and their derivatives by converting acetyl-CoA into malonyl CoA. The inhibition of FAS II leads to a decrease in the production of lipids, which are important components of bacterial cell membranes. This compound also inhibits the growth of fungi such as Monascus purpureus, Fusarium sporotrichioides, and Fusarium avenaceum at high concentrations. 2-[(1S)-1-Hydroxyethyl]-1,4-dihydroquinazolin-4-one was found to inhibit the growth of these fungi by binding to their elongation factor 1 alpha (EF-1α) and preventing
Formule :C10H10N2O2Degré de pureté :Min. 95%Masse moléculaire :190.2 g/mol
