CAS :Produit contrôléZopiclone is a benzodiazepine that has been shown to have potent inducers of hepatic enzymes. It is used for the treatment of insomnia, but long-term use may lead to tolerance and dependence. Zopiclone binds to the receptor site for GABA, which is a neurotransmitter. It also affects other neurotransmitters such as monoamines, which are involved in mood control and arousal. Zopiclone has been shown to be beneficial in patients with congestive heart failure, although it can cause orthostatic hypotension. The matrix effect of zopiclone is significant, leading to drug interactions with other drugs taken at the same time. Zopiclone has been shown to be effective in treating chronic insomnia and its long-term efficacy appears to be good.
