Zopiclone N-oxide has a short half-life and elimination rate, which may be due to the stereoselective metabolism of this compound. Zopiclone N-oxide has been shown to have a greater effect on the central nervous system than zopiclone, but does not induce drug interactions or affect urine samples. The detection time for this compound is shorter than for zopiclone, which may be due to its higher concentration in the blood.
