CAS :<p>3,4,6-Tri-O-acetyl-b-D-mannopyranose 1,2-(methyl orthoacetate) is a glycosylation product that is used in the synthesis of oligosaccharides. 3,4,6-Tri-O-acetyl-b-D-mannopyranose 1,2-(methyl orthoacetate) is synthesized by the reaction of 3,4,6-triacetyl b D mannopyranose with methyl orthoacetate in aqueous solution containing an acid catalyst. This compound can be used to modify saccharides and complex carbohydrates. It is also used in click chemistry to create modified sugars.
