:Lactulose
Description :
Lactulose est un disaccharide synthétique composé de fructose et de galactose, principalement utilisé comme laxatif et dans le traitement de l'encéphalopathie hépatique. C'est un liquide incolore à jaune clair, visqueux et soluble dans l'eau, ce qui facilite son administration. Lactulose n'est pas absorbé dans le tractus gastro-intestinal, ce qui lui permet d'exercer ses effets en attirant de l'eau dans le côlon, adoucissant les selles et favorisant les mouvements intestinaux. De plus, il est fermenté par les bactéries coliques, produisant des acides gras à chaîne courte et abaissant le pH, ce qui peut aider à réduire les niveaux d'ammoniaque chez les patients atteints de maladies du foie.
