It is a potent inhibitor of platelet aggregation and haemostasis. 17-Epi-ethynyl estradiol has been shown to increase the risk of venous thrombosis by increasing the plasma concentrations of coagulation factors II, VII, IX and X. It also decreases blood pressure. 17-epi-ethynyl estradiol can interact with other drugs such as felodipine and may lead to increased levels of coagulation proteins in the blood.
