CAS :(1S)-(+)-3-Carene is a monoterpene that has been shown to have synergistic effects with other natural compounds. It has been found to inhibit the enzyme activities of recombinant cytochrome p450 and x-ray diffraction data. The reaction mechanism for (1S)-(+)-3-carene is not fully understood, but it may involve water vapor or anhydrous sodium. This compound can be used as an agent in the treatment of infectious diseases due to its genotoxic effects on bacteria. (1S)-(+)-3-Carene also inhibits voltage-dependent calcium channels, which are involved in the transmission of information between cells and tissues, and causes cancer cells to undergo apoptosis by inhibiting DNA synthesis.
