CAS :Allo-isopteropodine is a monoterpenoid indole alkaloid that belongs to the group of acetate extract. It has been shown to have strong anti-cancer effects on skin cancer cells, as well as potential for treatment of cervical cancer. Allo-isopteropodine was found to inhibit 5-HT2 receptors and produce a locomotor activity in rats. This compound also inhibits the production of acetylcholine by binding to muscarinic receptors and has been shown to have a variety of physiological effects such as reducing blood pressure, increasing urine output, and lowering heart rate. Allo-isopteropodine can also be used as an analgesic and antipyretic agent.
