Tériparatide

Description :
Tériparatide est une forme synthétique de l'hormone parathyroïdienne (PTH) utilisée principalement dans le traitement de l'ostéoporose. Elle se caractérise par sa capacité à stimuler la formation osseuse, ce qui la distingue des autres traitements de l'ostéoporose qui se concentrent principalement sur l'inhibition de la résorption osseuse. Tériparatide est administré par injection sous-cutanée et est généralement prescrit pour les patients à haut risque de fractures. La substance est composée des 34 premiers acides aminés de la PTH humaine, qui sont cruciaux pour son activité biologique. Son mécanisme d'action implique la liaison aux récepteurs de la PTH sur les ostéoblastes, favorisant la croissance osseuse et augmentant l'absorption du calcium dans les intestins et les reins. Tériparatide a une demi-vie relativement courte, nécessitant une administration quotidienne pour des effets thérapeutiques optimaux.
