UF010 is a potential cancer therapy that has been shown to induce dedifferentiation of cancer cells. It also has been shown to protect against ischemic reperfusion injury in animal studies. UF010 inhibits acetylation, histone methylation, and DNA methylation in cancer cells. These changes are thought to be associated with the induction of apoptosis by inhibition of the myeloid-derived suppressor cell. In addition, UF010 inhibits HDACs and DNA methyltransferases, which may be responsible for its potent anticancer activity.
