1-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-cyclopropylethan-1-one is a phenylcyclohexanone derivative that can be synthesized by diazotizing cyclopropylamine with sodium nitrite in an alkaline condition. This compound has been shown to be a good precursor for the synthesis of other compounds, such as amino acids, peptides, and nucleosides. 1-(4-Chlorophenyl)-2-cyclopropylethan-1-one has also been shown to have antimicrobial effects against several bacteria.
