CAS :2-(Chloromethyl)-1,4-dioxaspiro[4.5]decane is a catalytic agent that is used in the synthesis of acetates and cyclohexanone. It can be used to produce a variety of organic compounds by using different starting materials, such as acetates and cyclohexanone. 2-(Chloromethyl)-1,4-dioxaspiro[4.5]decane has been shown to react with epichlorohydrin to form a chloromethylated product at room temperature. The reaction proceeds via an addition-elimination mechanism and produces two products: 1,4-dioxaspiro[4.5]decane and chloroacetate.
