It is a competitive antagonist of morphine and methadone, and it has been shown to reduce the self-administration of both drugs in rats. 3-[(4-Acetylpiperazin-1-yl)sulfonyl]benzoic acid was also found to be an inhibitor of protein interactions, with high purity and suitable for use in cell biology research.
