1-Benzyl-5-bromo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-2,4-dione is an experimental molecule and has not been studied extensively. It has been shown that this molecule binds to uracil in the cavity of a quadruplex and can form a functional quadruplex. The 1H NMR spectrum of 1-benzyl-5-bromo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-2,4-dione shows the presence of two peaks at 3.34 and 3.06 ppm corresponding to the protons on the methylene group attached to the nitrogen atom of the pyrimidine ring.
