7-Bromothieno[3,2-b]pyridine is a methoxylated thienopyridine. It has been shown to cause death in primary cells by inhibiting the synthesis of DNA. 7-Bromothieno[3,2-b]pyridine also inhibits the growth of lung cancer cells and induces programmed cell death in these cells.
