CAS :<p>Licoflavone A is a natural sweetener with inhibitory activity against bacteria, fungi and viruses. It has been shown to have an activity index of 0.7-0.8. Licoflavone A inhibits the growth of many bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Salmonella enterica and Pseudomonas aeruginosa by binding to the enzyme PTP1B. The compound also inhibits phosphatase activity in echinatin and glycyrrhiza species and has been found to be active against influenza virus in vitro.
