Azithromycin impurity K
CAS :
Azithromycin impurity K is a by-product of the antibiotic azithromycin. It has the ability to inhibit inflammatory compounds, such as prostaglandins, and has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect on gingival hyperplasia in rats. Impurity K is also found in the blood of people who are undergoing nephrology dialysis or who have had a recent outbreak of meningococcal disease. The synergistic activity of impurity K with other antibiotics is still being studied, but it has been shown that impurity K can be used to treat meningitis caused by Neisseria meningitidis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Impurity K inhibits the growth of Gram-positive bacteria and may be useful in the treatment of infections caused by Gram-positive pathogens.
Formule :C38H70N2O13Degré de pureté :Min. 95 Area-%Couleur et forme :PowderMasse moléculaire :762.97 g/mol
