3H-Benzo[f]chromene-2-carboxylic acid is a natural product that can be found in tannins and has been shown to have anticancer activity. The compound inhibits the growth of human lymphocytes, micronuclei formation, and cell cycle progression by binding to DNA. It also inhibits the growth of two human leukemia cell lines. 3H-Benzo[f]chromene-2-carboxylic acid has an inhibitory effect on infectious diseases characterized by bacterial or viral infection, such as tuberculosis, influenza A virus, and herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1). It also inhibits the growth of cells through apoptosis induction.
